Yamaha YBB631 BB flat bass tuba (lacquer finish) Product DescriptionThis is an instrument built in 2003 (serial number 331086) with one previous owner, who part-exchanged it for a new Besson Sovereign with us earlier this year. The YBB631 is now a discontinued model, its current replacement being the YBB632 Neo tuba which sells new for around £6,690.00. The instrument is in first class playing order, having been serviced in our own workshop. We have attempted to illustrate areas where the cosmetic finish is showing signs of wear and tear in the photographs, and these are more fully described below.
This particular model has a smaller bell than the latest Neo; it makes for a very focussed sound and a very easy blowing instrument; it also reduces the weight, making it more manageable.So that we may offer you the best possible price, please send us a message via Ebay, use the 'best offer' facility, or give us a call on the contact numbers below.ConditionThe overall condition is good for the age; our technicians have done a nice job removing significant dents and preparing the valves and slides to a high standard. It has been thoroughly cleaned internally and will be a pleasure to play. The lacquer is mainly intact, but is heavily scratched in some areas; hopefully these are visible on the pictures, but include the underside of the bottom bow, the front of the 1st tuning slide, part of the 3rd tuning slide (where the hand reaches the 4th valve), and a small section on the bell flare. You will also see small amounts of brown spots in the area of the bell wire - this is very common (it is where the moisture has escaped from the solder). Although any significant dents that might affect the air flow have been removed, you will find lots of very small dents.The tuning slides are nicely serviced, clean and fit well. The water keys (springs and pads) are also set up well. Our technicians have made good work of the valves, leaving them with a fast and light action. CaseAlthough this instrument arrived with a hard case, we happened to have a brand new case in our stocks, so you will find the case in perfect working order; it includes wheels and a drag handle.Keep a look out for new listings by adding us to your favourites list

The instrument is not supplied with a mouthpiece. We stock a large range of suitable mouthpieces should you be interested. Please express your interest prior to finalising payment if you wish us to include one or indeed any other additional brass accessories. The tuba is supplied in a replacement genuine Yamaha hardcase which is in vitually brand new condition, with only a little light scuffing in one or two places. All the catches are in good condition, as are the wheels and handles. The case also has a key. Returns/Warranty If on initial inspection you are disappointed in any way, you may return it and receive a full refund. You are most welcome to visit and test the instrument in our playing room prior to making a commitment. We are offering the instrument with a full twelve-month mechanical warranty, and a limited cosmetic warranty for the same period restricted to materially significant issues.
