24 Hour sale. Price is good until midnight EST 7-14 at which time the price reverts to $1325.00The neck alone for this banjo is 1200.00 ... and I'm asked for them frequently. I don't have that much in the Little Wonder pot or I'd never entertain selling this instrument at $1325.00 10 15/16" Vega Little Wonder tenor banjo pot with brand new maple 26 inch scale Wyatt Fawley 5 string neck. Clean instrument all around, with no rusty hooks. All hardware is original except the tailpiece (reproduction No-Knot) and the new 5 star planet tuners. New fiberskyn head.Set up with a 5/8"bridge, and action is perhaps lower than most clawhammer players prefer, but I'll include a new 11/16"bridge so you'll have the option of easily raising the action.Ebony headstock veneer, heel cap, and fretboard that features engraved mother of pearl inlays that are very cleanly executed and emulate a Vega Regent ca 1910. I refinished the rim (and dowl stick) after replacing a piece of binding about 6 inches long on the lower edge of the rim. I just sprayed the final coat of finish on this banjo late this afternoon, and just strung it up. I'll add more and better pictures tomorrow, when I can take them in natural light.Plays perfectly with just enough relief in the fret plane. Axis of neck is correct. The path of the 3rd string is the true centerline of the neck. No fighting to keep the bridge properly located. You'd be surprised how many manufacturers neglect to fit their necks properly. The neck is constructed exactly as were the original Vega necks, and as such, there is no adjustable truss rod. I use those on mahogany necks as a matter of course, but the maple ones are plenty strong to carry steel strings without problems. There's no case, but we ship banjos with no case all the time, and have been doing so for 25 years without  having one broken.Check Gruhn's inventory. They have a banjo just like this one that I did probably 15 years ago, priced at 1600.00Listing states "no returns". The reason for this is that eBay affords the buyer 2 weeks to return. I will only accept a return if notified within 48 hours of receipt of the banjo. You'll find it to be exactly as represented here.
