Superb original condition. Made in Japan. Solid spruce top. Flame maple back. Folks, this one was made in the early 1970s when Japanese builders were trying to prove they could build exact high quality copies of the Gibson models. This is a early pre-serial number model before they started stamping serial numbers on the headstock. It only has "Japan" stamped on the back of headstock. Original hard case included. The original tortoise pickguard is packed away in the case and is included. It has been meticulously cared for and therefore in near mint condition. Investment grade instrument. Here's the story on this one, many years ago I bought two of these exactly alike from the original owner who bought them new at the same time in the 1970s. I compared the two to see which one had the purest tone, loudest volume and punch, and best sustain. They both sounded fantastic but this one edged out the other in all tests. It's like you stepped into a vintage instrument store and were able to try out two of these models and choose the the best one, which, as rare as these are, is an unheard of opportunity! Guaranteed you will love this one which is why it is not cheap. Thanks for your interest and good luck!
