American Standard Telecaster
with Hipshot Will Ray Helle-Bender
and Middle Strat Single-coil Pickup
Used - Excellent Condition The upgrades on this American Standard Tele give it the playability of a Nashville B-Bender Tele!  These upgrades include a Strat single-coil pickup in the middle and a Hipshot Will Ray Helle-Bender.  This is the same bender that Will Ray uses in his band The Hellecasters; it bends the B-string a whole step to simulate a steel guitar, plus it has a lever that allows you to drop the low-E to a D with a simple flip.  But let's get right to the very meat of thyis instrument...this 1994 Tele features a very comfortable one-piece maple neck with a maple fretboard allowing you to smoothly articulate your melodies and really drive home your rockin' riffs.  Along with the added Strat single-coil in the middle, it features the standard Tele neck and bridge single-coils as well, plus the added 5-way selector switch will really expand your sound options.  For the guitarist who yearns to pour beguiling country expressiveness into every lonesome, heart-tugging note, this upgraded American Telecaster is the 6-string wonder you've been searching for!   Cosmetic and Functionality DescriptionBody:  the top, back, and sides show some easily noticeable surface scratches on the lacquer, not through to the wood, most of which are on the back as moderate moderate buckle rash; the pickguard has a number of light scratches that are really only visible upon close inspection...these are from typical playing which is to be expected from a cool guitar like this reaching the age of 22!
Neck, Fretboard, and Headstock:  the fretboard has some obvious chips and wear in the lacquer along both the bass and treble side edges, plus there is some discoloration in the lacquer over the inlays from the 9th fret to the 21st; the back of the neck has some small to medium-sized dings and scratches, plus there are a couple of medium-sized chips in the lacquer along the bass side between the 3rd and 5th fret positions; the headstock has some small dings and nicks around the sides, but the front and back facings look almost flawless
Action and Playability: the neck is straight and the action is about medium-low
Frets: moderate wear with some small grooves starting to form on the mid to lower frets, however there is no fret out
Hardware:  the tuners look great; the electronics cover, the neckplate, bridge, and Hipshot all have some light scratches on them, plus the bridge has been modified with two small holes to accommodate the Hipshot Will Ray Helle-Bender
Electronics:  all functions flawlessly
Includes:  solidbody electric guitar and bar for the Hipshot Will Ray Helle-Bender (case and gig bag not included)
