VINTAGE LUDWIG SNARE DRUM EARLY 1960'S, PRE SERIAL NUMBER KEYSTONE BADGE, COB SHELL AND HOOPS THEY ARE BRASS. THEY ARE NOT STEEL OR ALUM. This is a original early 1960's LUDWIG SNARE DRUM 14"x 5" approx size in used condition see pictures to verify condition. This has a Brass shell and hoops it weighs 9.2 lbs it has a seem from top to bottom on the inside of the shell, it has 10 imperial lugs. And their are indentations on the snare side where the springs cross the shell. And the shell has a turned lips. All these are indicative of and early 1960's COB Ludwig snare. The shell is Brass it is not aluminum or steel. YES they have been tested with a magnet and no it did not stick to the hoops or the shell. And feel free to ask any questions that have not been already answered in this listing that you may have. I have replaced 2 lugs with 1964 imperial lugs and about a half dozen tension rods with newer rods that match exactly I would say. It has a new head and the snare side head is old. Some additional cleaning could still be done and it could look even better but please note this is in original condition and it shows some age see pics.
