Besson BE777 New Standard Series Eb TubaBesson BE777 New Standard Series Eb Tuba Outfit in Stunning Gold Finish, including durable moulded carry case and mouthpiece.This 3 valve non-compensating instrument is a solid student model backed by the Besson brand. It offers a full sound and good intonation for the aspiring student and the gold plated finish makes it harder wearing than some student models on the market. Its compact configuration allows for a comfortable playing position for smaller players making this a popular choice for younger students. The 777 is free blowing with an ease of tone production and an even response. The mouthpipe is carefully positioned to give the optimum playing comfort and the valve technology produces complete accuracy and reliability. A ligtweight design makes these tubas exceptionally easy to hold and carry, with their depth and quality of tone capturing the essence of the legendary Besson sound.The overall condition is very good, some cosmetic damage to the liquor which is hardly noticeable. One of the valve caps is slightly different to the other two, however this again is hardly noticeable and photographed. The instrument is in full working order and plays lovely. Included in the sale is a Dennis Wick London 3L mouthpiece and the original case. The instrument case is slightly battered with damage to the hinges, however it still functions and provides adequate protection for the instrument. The instrument code as engraved on the bell is BE777-89001. These 3/4 sized tuba's are difficult to come by second hand and a new one would set you back around £2000.This is a much loved instrument of mine and am only selling due to lack of use, therefore I am not willing to give the instrument away for less than the start price of this auction.
