I bought this mixer over a year ago from djjohnk (USA) and used it very lightly.
This mixer was built using all original stock U.S.A. Bozak brand factory produced parts from 1975-1989 and many obsolete parts supplied by original manufactures. Parts produced by manufactures such as Alps, Allen/Bradley, Amp, Aromat, Beyer Dynamic, Centralab, Chicago Miniature, Frako, Motorola, RCA, etc are original as used in U.S.A. Bozak factory products. This mixer was rebuilt by the original U.S.A. engineer and designer Mr. Buzzy Beck and in no way is this mixer associated with the company now using the Bozak name and producing Bozak brand electronic products.This is not a reissue or reproduction mixer. This DL is the very last original zinc service chassis in Mr. Beck’s parts inventory collection. This has all factory upgrades and many of Mr. Beck’s personal original touches added to the unit. As most people know Mr. Beck is one of the last original USA Bozak repair personnel and designer of many products including the original 1983 Bozak HB series mixer. All of Mr. Becks total rebuilds or new original mixers are as the photos show completely assembled from the ground up.All material used with the exception of several capacitors are 100% USA Bozak original factory replacement inventory parts. All of the photos are of the actually mixer you are purchasing and will receive. All rear panel parts including the XLR connectors, power cord, fuse holder, internal barrier, loop switch, are new as original with the RCA jacks that were upgraded to the gold connector series with heavy duty riveted retainers. This mixer has two ground terminals on the rear panel for ease of grounding hook up wiring. Several other external features are the all new original manufacture knob set with custom shaft centering bushings on the input pots, new original late style pilot lamp, new original headphone jack, new original Cue function switch, new power and program switch, and mint DL faceplate.The interior features all new black Alps RK40 million cycle potentiometers on the input, master, and monitor controls. The microphone level controls are new blue Alps RK27 soft feel potentiometers and the balance controls are all new upgrade Alpha BX50 controls. The tone control pots are upgraded with Bourns blue military grade components for extended duty. The only card upgraded was the power supply with Nichicon and Vishay components plus new style heat sink for optimum cooling. The microphone, summing amp, tone control, and audio output cards are 100% new unused inventory and have original Frako brand capacitors. These cards were all checked and working 100% as original material should and will produce the true Bozak sound experience. The mixer is in its original configuration of 2 Phono, 2 Auxiliary and 2 microphone channel inputs. The rear panel has the factory RCA loop jacks and toggle switch along with all standard unbalanced output connectors. Any of the Phono channels can be converted to Auxiliary use and any Auxiliary channels can be converted to Phono inputs. The Bozak mixer is most likely the best Analog mixer ever created and this unit will undoubtedly provide service for many years to come.
