The Conn 8D has been one of the world's most popular horns for decades. It maintains a design that makes the horn very responsive and free-blowing with excellent tonal balance. Its traditional large throat bell and all nickel construction give a beautiful, dark sound with rich depth. The clear lacquer finish provides a subtle warmth to the overall sound. Well suited for players of all ages and abilities.For sale is a rare, vintage 1967 Elkhart, Ind USA Professional Double 8D French Horn K series. Serial number is K16828. This horn is in rough shape but is able to be played. I do not play the French Horn and do not service them but will try to answer questions to the best of my ability. The pictures show the dings, dents and scrapes on the horn. The fixed bell is in tact and there are no cracks or creases on the instrument.
