Trained in America, he was one of the first ukulele and guitar repairmen in Japan.His instruments are known for their extremely lightweight construction and vintage-style good looks.This unusual instrument has solid back and sides with very interesting shimmering wood grain,Brazilian Rosewood bridge and fretboard with paua shell dot markers and a bone saddle nut.Low string height for ease of playing and fluorocarbon strings for crisp highs.Mahogany neck for stability. Old-fashioned style pineapple decal headstock logo. White side dot markers at 5,7,10,12, 15 and 17th frets, mirroring the fretboard markers.14 fret joint, with 17 frets total. Gotoh UPT 4X1 straight gear tuners with ebony buttons.Carefully hand-made with an attention to detail, and with a beautiful satin finish.
