2005 D'Aquisto New Yorker DQ-NYE in excellent condition. All solid wood construction. Solid pressed spruce top, solid pressed flame maple back, solid flame maple sides. Maple neck, ebony fretboard, tailpiece, and bridge. Dark rosewood pick guard and veneer on back of headstock, unbleached bone nut, 8 ply top binding, 5 ply binding on headstock and pick guard, 3 ply neck binding. MOP split block inlays, MOP "D'Aquisto" and New Yorker" headstock appointments and MOP split diamond in rosewood veneer on back of headstock. Gold plated Schaller imperial tuners and all other hardware. 500k mini potentiometers mounted to pick guard to control the floating style pickup (neck mounted). There was one small crack I had repaired professionally by my local luthier about a year ago who builds hand carved, tap tuned arch tops. It's on the top under the pick guard. About 1/2" in length and was splined, glued, clamped, cleated using Titebond original. Finish was drop filled to blend/ seal the repair, finish sanded to 2500 grit and finally buffed. Very nice, professional repair and not an issue at all... but I feel it should be mentioned in the interest of full disclosure. It's stronger than before the crack and aesthetically looks great plus it's under the pick guard... (Please see pic). With all these attention to detail type appointments this is a very nice archtop... No question! Build quality is very nice. Handmade in Japan by some fine luthiers appointed by Aria USA. Any questions... don't hesitate.
