Add something exotic to your Uke collection. I'm offering an all original Marca Aquila soprano ukulele. This predates anything Martin made in the USA. Built so well, this uke has stood the test of time with no damage such as splits etc and no repairs have been done to it. I can't see a better example coming up for sale. I have given you high resolution photos below so please take time to see them all. From a local estate chock full of turn of the century instruments and catalogs. This uke was stored properly. It is in extraordinary shape. I simply wiped it down and put some new strings on it. (I'm sure you will want to give it a proper setup) 20.5 inches total length. There are no splits or damage to report. No repairs done. Just lovely aged lacquer/varnish over mahogany. Bridge solidly glued, all seams tight and perfect. Neck joint like the day it as made, frets show almost no wear and most importantly it has all of its unique original brass lined friction tuners. (The holes in the headstock are lined with brass sleeves, and the brass posts are pushed in and held with friction) LIVELY is the one word I can use to describe it. This old wood has aged well, it resonates from the headstock to the lower bout. Punchy clear and articulate. I found a video of the same uke while on the web, see bottom of page. (Although his had repairs and replacement tuners). But the sound is accurate, so have a watch. I don't think you will see another anytime soon. Please see the photos and check my other auctions.
