OVATION 2778 AX STANDARD ELITE The Standard Elite 2778AX is quality throughout. It features a hand-selected, deluxe AA solid-spruce top with scalloped bracing, and Ovation's Contour Bowl composite body, which maximizes acoustic output and is ergonomically designed for playing comfort in any position. Ovation's pioneering multi-soundhole design enhances string vibration and sustain by improving soundboard efficiency. The guitar's upper-bout soundholes are inlaid with exotic hardwoods, and the cutaway offers full access to the satin finished, 5 piece mahogany/maple neck. The Standard Elite's Op-Pro preamp and OCP-1K pickup produce uncompromising plugged-in performance. The Op-Pro pickup was designed in collaboration with jazz guitarist Al Di Meola and acoustic rocker Melissa Etheridge. It combines state-of-the-art audio quality with exclusive features designed to meet the needs of professional musicians.
