**VINTAGE**1974 Gibson SG Standard Guitar Neck/Body ProjectThis is a stripped down guitar that is in decent shape, but shows much wear and tear....many dings, dents, and scratches. The body is cracked at the bottom in the electronics cavity area, and the headstock was broken off at the neck and repaired at one point before I'd owned it. Fracture lines for both areas can be seen within the photos. When this guitar was fully assembled with original parts, it played, and sounded incredible, and I have used it on recordings, jams, etc. The frets are very worn, so it could use a new fret job. Strap buttons are present. The neck on this is VERY slim...which was a selling point for me, when I first bought it 20 years ago.
This guitar would make a great restoration project for someone that is either crafty, or wants to be creative. Neck and body are set properly, so there are no issues there. Original hardshell case is included, but it has seen much better days! Needs restoration, itself, or just for simply, adding to a collection. The case is falling apart, so if you're going to store this guitar in this case, or even unpack the guitar from the case when this item arrives to you, the potential buyer, I would advise you open this with great care. I'm only including the case to keep it as a complete or somewhat complete package deal.Any other details that I have not mentioned or questions you may have, please feel free to ask.
