You are bidding on a 1946 Martin Committee trumpet. This is one of the finest horns ever manufactured and this one (serial #151011) was built at the beginning of the golden era for Martin Committees. It's response and flexibility is remarkable. It was truly a forward thinking design for the time and it still holds up against it's modern competitors. This is a great playing horn.This horn appears to have been patched or reinforced around the lead pipe. in addition, the finger ring is not original and the third valve ring has been switched out.Included in this auction is an additional third valve slide and third valve finger ring. The screw is missing on the slide but I'm sure it could be replaced easily. I'm not sure if this is the original slide but it appears to be sprung and will not fit on the horn. I'm sure a competent repairman could easily adjust the slide to fit as the individual tubes slide easily on to the horn. Also included in this auction is a SKB hard shell case.
