Estimated price for orientation: 2 488 $

Description Brand: Bach Bell Material: Brass Model: NY Key: Bb Leadpipe Material: brass Valve Material: Nickel Plated Finish: raw brass Skill Level: Professional
This is a New York Stradivarius from the when Vincent Bach was still very much involved in the day to day operations of his shop. This trumpet was made after WWII and few years before the move from the Bronx to Mount Vernon. Bach was still experimenting with variations and materials; however this horn has a 7 mouthpipe, which was more common in that era, and and a 37 bell, which was not yet as common. It has a medium large bore as noted on the shop card. Valve action and compression is very good. There is little remaining lacquer and the horn had developed a nice patina. There has been some dent work on the bell flare; there is a missing nib on the second slide; and the leadpipe/mouthpiece receiver droop down a bit, but there do not appear to have been any major repairs or modifications during the almost 70 year life of this horn. There is a dent on the bell tube that is shown in the photos, but rather than have any work done on this horn, that minor dent can be easily taken out if the new owner decides on some level of restoration. Comes with the original case in very good condition. We will combine shipping for multiple purchases. See our website for professional trumpets and cornets.
