This is an absolutely Beautiful ! 1966 Slingerland "Modern Solo Outfit" Kit (from the slingerland catalog) 20" bass drum 12,12,mounted toms & 16" floor tom. 3 ply Maple/poplar/mahogany with maple reinforcement rings/hoops shells. Interiors are Beautiful with the factory weak hot chocolate milk paint. Chrome is excellent Plus ! .Really no pitting to speak of. Maybe Just a light sign of pitting here and there. I can't find any. Original Blue Agate Pearl wrap is in excellent condition.Zero fade and has way less than Normal wear, There a few very minor scratches etc. The 16" floor tom has a scuff on it . Looks like maybe from a cymbal stand rub?? Minor and very hard to find/see. Other than that i cannot find any other marks on this beauty!This is a 2 owner kit That was stored in cases for most of its life. The 2nd owner bought this kit used in 1968. He said he really didn't gig out with the kit. stayed at home were he jammed occasionally threw the last 45 years. NO EXTRA HOLES anywhere on this kit. This is a factory matched kit. All rims, tension rods, washers are original. Badges are in excellent condition. All bearing edges are factory and good. drums are in round. Bottom heads on all the toms are there Original slingerland factory head from when they rolled out of the Niles Illinois factory in 1966. All toms have there original Slingerland chrome over brass stick saver rims. THERE ARE A LOT OF REFLECTIONS IN THESE PICTURES , THEY ARE NOT SCRATCHES, THEY ARE REFLECTIONS.JUST A BEAUTIFUL EXAMPLE OF THIS FINISH/ERA KIT!( depth x head )14" x 20" bass drum - Has 16 lugs , t-rods and claws. Original spurs, double tom post & bracket. Hoops are in excellent condition ( has usual paint chipping and mark from b.d. pedal.)and both have complete inlays.Has a brand new Remo white coated amb. head with correct Slingerland logo on the reso side and a used Ludwig silver dot head on the batter side. Has a very small minor bubble in the inner ply. small and probaly came with it from the factory. see picture. really nothing but put this in for the purist looking at this . Black & Brass Niles badge serial # 1630128" x 12" tom - Has 12 lugs, tension rods, washers,Chrome over Brass Stick saver rims,Diamond tom bracket, Original muffler/tone control. brand new Remo white coated amb. on the top and Has its original Factory Slingerland head on the bottom.
