I'm selling this really nice vintage Neumann SM 69 FET set including mic, cable, clip and a new pattern selection unit in a quality case. The mic sounds great and both capsules match beautifully. A classic stereo mic with variable patterns between the main omni, cardioid and figure eight settings. The new pattern selection unit is made by Schaal in Germany and works beautifully and has much easier controls than the original which required a screwdriver to adjust patterns.
One thing to note with this mic is that I believe the internal plastic liner within the mic body has shifted. Consequently, sometimes when the mic body is being handled and moved around you get a humming noise. Once actually stationary and on the stand the mic works perfectly every time and sounds beautiful. The problem is simple, but the previous owners stripped the screws to get into the mic body. Consequently, I've just lived with it and it has not prevented me from using the mic in any applications.Let me know if you have any questions and please check out my other vintage audio items.Thanks.
