Description

This banjo was made around 1927, by the H. A. Weymann and Son, Inc. Company in Philadelphia, Pa.  Serial number 42095.   It is a beautiful example of the Weymann Orchestra Tenor Banjo Style No. 2.  Gorgeous light maple, ebony fingerboard with inlaid pearl, colored veneer inlay, and a beautiful pearl inlay head.  The slip-on resonator has inlaid wood on the edge.  If you’re familiar with Weymann banjos you know of their high quality, and this is an outstanding example of the 1920’s craftsmanship that made these instruments great.  The banjo is in excellent condition with no noticeable fingerboard wear.  Original hard case is in excellent condition.  Been in my family since new, for almost 90 years.
