Clapton Strat This guitar started out as a Mexican Strat but the only part of the Mexican Strat that remains is the body. The goal of the project was create a guitar that would be comparable to a US Eric Clapton Signature Stratocaster that I owned previously. I think I meet the goal. The body is MIM Olympic white Strat body that has aged to lite yellowish tone. The neck came from a USA 2013 or 14 Eric Clapton Signature Stratocaster with a comfortable soft v shape. I had a luthier replace the vintage frets with medium jumbo frets, easier for sting bends, and install a new nut at the same time. I installed New Goto nickel vintage locking tuners for better tuning stability. Installed a new Callaham Tremelo with a steel block better tone and stability, the Tremelo is not blocked like Clapton does. I was shooting for the earlier Clapton version so I went with lace pickups to match that era Clapton Strat. I would put this Strat toe to toe with any US Eric Clapton Strat. Fender Molded hard shell case included.
