Powered by Frooition Pro 1980's Carvin V220T Electric Guitar - Black w/OHSC - Kahler V-220T Item Description Carvin V220 Tremolo Electric Guitar in good condition with some light playwear and a moderate amount of minor dings on the front and top edges. The back some more extensive dents, dings and scratches. The back of the neck has a few light dings. The finish is checked right along the neck/body joint. This is superficial and the actual neck joint is solid with no issues of structural integrity. Classic black finish on the body, neck and headstock with chrome hardware. The guitar has a nice action and the neck has a good feel. The 24 jumbo frets are in very good condition with minimal playwear.The pickups have been upgraded. The pickups appear to be a Super Distortion and a PAF. Both pickups have a good tone and output. The controls are a volume for each pickup, a master tone, a 3-way pickup selector switch and 2 mini coil tap switches to add single coil tones to the mix. The guitar is equipped with a Kahler tremolo with a locking nut, a brass nut and Schaller mini tuners. This is a great looking, sounding and playing guitar that is the real deal from the era that made them so popular. Includes the original Carvin hard shell case and tremolo arm. Serial Number: 20182 Weight 9 lbs. 11 oz.Originally introduced in 1984, and produced through 1989, the V220 was played by chart topping artists of the 1980's and was among the top selling guitars Carvin Guitars made at that time. All of Carvin's necks and fingerboards undergo a long conditioning process in our de-humidification chambers to remove any stress in the wood and prevent future warping or twisting. The dual-action, fully adjustable truss rod helps keep the neck straight and true, and allows you to set the action just the way you like it. The headstock is the 6 in-line style with a gold Carvin logo. The V220 features a 25" scale ebony fingerboard with pearl inlays, a 14" radius and 24 medium-jumbo nickel frets. The "Rapid Play" low action neck assures effortless playability throughout the entire fingerboard, while the smooth neck heel allows easy access all the way up to the 24th fret.
