2016 American Elite Telecaster in Aged Cherryburst finish. MINT condition in original hardshell case with all paperwork and Schaller strap locks. I bought this new about a month ago, but I need to fund another purchase and I already have a Tele that I really love. This guitar is beautiful, and has particularly nice figuring in the wood, somewhat unusual for alder. Features 4th generation Noiseless pickups, S1 switch (allows you to run both pickups in serial as well as parallel modes), truss rod thumbwheel at body end of neck, 4-ply pearloid pick guard, white binding on top of body, and the newly redesigned contoured heel on the back of the neck/body joint. The guitar also features 22 medium jumbo frets and a compound radius/compound profile neck. What that means is the neck radius is 9.5" at the nut net and gradually flattens out to a 14" radius at the other end, which gives you the best of both worlds (comfortable chording in the lower positions and faster, easier lead playing and bends at the upper end of the fretboard). The neck profile gradually slopes from a modern C profile at the lower end, to a very comfortable D profile at the higher end. It is one of the nicest necks I have ever played. Maple fingerboard on maple neck (no skunk stripe on the back).New for 2016, the Fender American Elite series replaces the former American Deluxe line as the high end of the non-Custom Shop U.S. made Fenders. It offers essentially the same features as the previous American Deluxe Telecaster, but with a few refinements and improvements as described above. This guitar currently sells for $1799 new, and there is literally not a scratch on it. It's a real gem and I would love to keep it, but sacrifices must be made.
