Takamine TF340SBG Tradesman Series Dreadnought Acoustic-Electric Guitar
Product Description:Tradesman Series “purpose built” guitars are built with luthier selected solid tone woods in our pro series facility that has been building precision quality instruments over five decades. The TF340SBG dreadnought Flatpicker is built to give the player the vintage playing experience in a modern live performance guitar. Designed under the guidance of some of the world’s hottest flatpickers, these dreadnoughts are absolute cannons. Voiced for vintage tone and equipped with state of the art electronics, these Takamine dreadnoughts are ready for session work or stadium shows. Features a solid spruce top, solid mahogany back and sides, antique nickel open geared tuners along with an ebony fingerboard. The neck has a substantial profile that eases hand strain for effortless extended playing sessions. Includes Takamine’s palathetic pickup®, known in the industry as one of the most accurate and natural sounding acoustic/electric pickups. The electronic performance package is beyond state of the art with the Cool Tube Preamp – the first and only tube preamp in an acoustic guitar.
CTP-2 Cool Tube PreampThe Takamine Cool Tube is the first and only on-board tube preamp for acoustic guitar. Featuring a 12AU7 (ECC82) valve, it delivers a warm, rich harmonic tone available from no other preamp. Furthermore, due to the unique low voltage circuit designed by Takamine, the tube does not glow or radiate high levels of heat which could damage the tone woods of the guitar. Powered by 4 AA batteries, the Cool Tube preamp features 3 band shelving EQ, a built in chromatic tuner, and an auxiliary input with blend control for adding a secondary pickup such as the Tri-Ax.List Price = $1,879.99Our Price = $899 (save 52% off list!)What was refurbished on this guitar:When this guitar came in from the factory, the only issue found by the authorized refurbisher was minor crease in the lacquer finish on the side of the body (see photo - crease doesn't show up, but this is just to show the location). No repairs or modifications were made to the guitar - they simply gave it a set-up and left it alone. Aside from the minor lacquer crease, it looks and plays like new. The hard case has a few external scuff marks from being in a warehouse environment, but is otherwise in new condition.Includes Takamine hard case.
