SRV STEVIE RAY VAUGHN #1 VINTAGE ELECTRIC FENDER STRATOCASTER RELIC GUITAR I have had this guitar a little over a year now. I had intended to either learn to play or use it for artwork as it is an amazing piece. I realize this guitar would be better off in the hands of someone who is able to play it and enjoy using it. I did some research in comparison with Stevie Ray's guitar and looked at many pictures at many different angles. This is one of the closest one I have ever seen having seen the original one myself. Either way this Texas legends memory can live on in your home as spotlight artwork or Saturday night band practice. The work was done by a tremendous luthier down in South Carolina who does the best SRV #1 relic job around. The neck came from "gears united guitar parts" they do vintage relic Strat necks that look heavily worn. The neck feels raw but has a super thin nitro lacquer. They did the fretwork as well. The Aged relic hardware came from Extreme creations. All put together...for a great set up. The guitar is currently set up for size 10 strings and plays very well. The Guitar is wired so that the bottom tone knob affects the bridge pick up and the middle tone knob affects the neck pick up. The guitar has Fender 57/62 pickup set (which closely resembles Stevie's 59' Fender pick ups).The tremolo (not fixed) is a Fender American Gold, 2 7/32 string spacingThe neck plate is accurate aged plating nickel 93702 serial number.The neck is a nitro lacquer rosewood with 10" fretboard radius.The neck and headstock even has the accurate cigarette burn.Ships with Black Tolex Hardshell Case.
