Fender Squier Stratocaster A Early Japan Made SQ-01 Serial Number.  The Japan Strats of this era are High Quality Instruments. This one is one of the 1970s Style CBS Big Headstock Models. In the Early 80s it had a Floyd Rose and Seymour Duncans Pickups added, a Seymour Duncan 1980s Rare SEY-J Model Zebra Coil Humbucker that sounds amazing and a early 1980s clothe Wire SSL1 Seymour Duncan Single Coil in the Neck. It has CTS Pots and a Newer Fender Standard Strat Staggered Magnet reverse Wound Middle Pickup. The Pickups are Balanced and Sound Great. From Vintage Strat sounds in the Neck to Screaming EVH Style Tone with the Humbucker. It has a Tone Knob for the Bridge Pickup as well so you can dial in just the right amount of Highs. It has a Great Feeling Full C Neck shape. Not to big, not to slim. The Frets have very Little wear even though they are the Original. The Floyd Rose is a Brand New Floyd Rose Special That performs Great. I was going to add a Titanium Block to it but it sounds great like it is, and More importantly it works Perfect and being brand new there are no Stripped screws or wear. The Action is Low and you can do big bends on it as well. The Bullet Truss Rod was flattened to work on the Floyd Nut. The Neck is Very Straight and the truss works Great with .09s or .10s Like it is. If you want to adjust it you just have to remove the lock nut, again it works great and it is set up Perfect as is. The Floyd is Flush Mounted To the Body and Stays in tune even with heavy use. All the Modifications were done in the early 1980s and Were done Very Well. It has the Factory Gotoh Fender Japan Tuning Keys. The bottom edge of the fingerboard has a ding that was filled in years ago. I have owned this guitar for years and just noticed it as i was taking Photos, My hand never knew it was there. It ships in a 1980s Fender USA Hardcase. This is a Cool guitar that is versatile and Ready to play with no Issues other then being 33 years old and Having normal Wear and tear on the finish. You can not buy a better Floyd Rose Strat for the Price.
