2005 Gibson SG Special converted to look like a late 60's model with Hiscox case. Double ring tuning pins, vintage wiring PO caps etc. Pickups are low output, non waxed, hand wound paf replicas built by Cats Whiskers. They have the Peter Green modification. To my ear they sound closer to the real thing than other manufacturers like SD, I've tried a good few!  Now the bad bits. I'm not selling it as some road worn relic, it's actually a little worn out and needs a little TLC. If you want a flawless guitar, this is not the one for you. It was converted a long time ago, and has been played a lot! It has scratches, rust and worn screws, checking cracks on the binding etc. The scratch plate was converted to take the bridge, it's an arb1 by all parts I think. If you look at the scratch plate close up near the bridge, you can see that it's been filled and painted over. I play with 12-56 gauge strings and a high action. Over time, the frets have flattened off and feel like railroad sleepers. I didn't notice this with the high action, but I popped on a set of 10's and it could feel better. The nylon saddles on the bridge are tired too, they're still functional, but will need replaced to get the guitar set up good. It's had a few nuts over the years, it has a tusk one at the moment, The heavy strings don't appear to have done much damage, but it's not that old. So, that's it really, it can be played how it is, or it's a project. It's sold as a project really. I'd rather avoid people saying it's not perfect :-D It is what it is, please be aware of the issues before bidding. I'll try and make a small YouTube video of the guitar, it sounds like an old one, well, I think so anyway. I'm selling because I'm finding With age I prefer a vintage fender radius neck, my hands don't go straight like they used to, so I'm thinking of a Telecaster... If the shipping is less than £20, I'll refund the difference.
Thanks for looking...

I'm just comfortable with 10's and a lower action, or jumbo frets. I've adjusted somewhat and it's not half bad!https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AuqBAeCceA8
On 15-Oct-16 at 18:42:06 BST, seller added the following information:The serial number is 026350494
Your guitar was made at the
Nashville Plant, TN, USA
on September 20th, 2005
Production Number: 194I've had a few questions about the guitar. Guitar was a Special faded a long long time ago. fingerboard was replaced with rosewood and binding fitted because the guitar it was replicating had this rather than the ebony board. Real Gibson inlays, embedded, painted over and scraped off. CTS and Gibson pots and I can't remember exactly, but  the paper and oil caps are the Russian K40 somethings. Before the guitar was converted to a standard, it was had p90, and was white for a time, hence the paint on the serial number. to remove the paint here, would have removed the serial number.thanks...
