OFFERED FOR SALE Is an original 1965 Gibson SG Special with a hardshell case (1970's ?). The guitar is original with the exception of the tuners which were replaced by a set of Grover tuners, the bridge and the pick guard.  I think this pick guard is also from late 1965/66. I have the original which was broken prior to my purchase of the guitar.  Along with the original pick guard I will include another vintage 60's Gibson SG Special pick guard if the winning bidder wants to return it to the original specifications. I have also located the three on a side Kluson Deluxe tuners with white buttons. The buttons have discoloured somewhat but everything works and they do look great. As you can see in the pictures the guitar has some nicks, scratches, rubs and the finish is crazing, chips on the peg head face plate etc. The good thing is the original P 90 pick ups sound amazing, the neck is straight, the action is good and there are no structural issues.  If you want a mint guitar this is not for you.  If you want a player with an incredible vibe this could be that guitar. The wiring is all original and the matching pots date to 1965. Very nice indeed. I checked under the pick guard and there are no custom routes it looks like straight from the factory. The case I believe is an early 1970's wooden case with the black aligator like covering.  It is really beat up but will protect the guitar with the added packing etc. Overall a great guitar that deserves to be played!!!   (All items will be packed in a strong guitar mailer to insure safe arrival.)
