The awesome Music Rising Les Paul was a collaborative effort between Gibson and music industry luminaries to raise money to replace the classic and priceless instruments lost by so many in New Orleans during Hurricane Katrina. There were 300 guitars made. Each one was hand painted, hand relic'ed to mimic not just time but the ravages of the flood waters. Finally, the guitars were hand numbered. Most of these guitars ended up in the hands of major donors, artists, foundations and industry executives. They very rarely come up for auction and very few are actually owned by the guitar buying public. Gibson will never reissue these guitars. This one is in the exact same condition as received from Gibson. All of the imperfections were done intentionally. I was lucky enough to view several of these in person. This one had the most vivid, brightest paint. If you look around the web, you'll likely agree. Guitar comes with Gibson hardshell case. It's a killer collectible, awesome player and fantastic sounding Les Paul.
