Up for sale is my 2005 hand made Teuffell Birdfish (this is the full spec. model with MIDI). Only ever been displayed and played for about 1 hour so it is 100% mint condition. The pictures are of the actual guitar. Local Pickup onlyThe Teuffel Birdfish has a minimalist metal frame, which reduces the design of an electric guitar to its essential components. The central elements consist of two aluminum sculptures of a bird and a fish, which provides the frame for components to be connected, vibrations transmitted, and interaction with the musician's body. Resonator cylinders (up to two) can be attached across the top of the frame, and consist of both a maple and red alder core. A wiring harness provides for interchanging the pickups, which are connected by a central rod for placement by twisting or sliding. Strings are clamped with a headless locking nut (the action of this nut is adjustable), tailpiece, and the bird's-eye maple neck has 22-frets. The entire Birdfish guitar set consists of the Birdfish frame, four body resonators, five pickups, and a deluxe flightcase.
