This is an exquisite instrument. Early era Edgar Monch hand made classical guitar. Made in Munich in 1963 before his move to Canada. What can I say. Beautiful, light, resonant guitar with a crisp clear sound. Sounds just amazing in the right pair of hands. Cedar top and Cypress back and sides. The back and sides and the back of the neck have been profesionally resprayed with original nitro finish. The top appears original. The bridge appears to have been reglued at some point, I have tried to show it in the photo, but it is positioned perfectly. No bowing of the top. There is a repaired small hairline crack in the back, 3 cm long, which I have tried to photograph. It is virtually unnoticeable from the outside. There is a patch over it on the inside. The headstock is connected to the neck with a nearly invisible scarf joint, original I believe. I have listed all the repairs and points of interest, but really this is a unique instrument of the highest quality. As my luthier says, it actually is in very good condition for a 1963 guitar. Please ask any questions. If possible come and see for yourself. Local pickup preferred, but I will post at buyers expense. I have entered $100 postage and handling, but it could be a bit more with insurance and depending on your locality. Also, overseas buyers beware, postage and handling from Australia is expensive.Thanks.
