Hey everybody! The flagship Yamaha SG. And for a reason! This things plays like a dream. Sustain, heft, clarity, punch, and looks! I feel like if you're looking at this you already know what this is. Unfortunately I do have to talk about the condition on this one quite a bit. I feel like cosmetically these guitars usually make it out of the years a little bit less dinged and dented. I prefer player guitars like this personally as it's usually an indicator of use, which means the wood has been vibrating and to me that seems to open up guitars and make them play and sound better in my opinion. Of course I can't prove that so I'll leave it to you. However, this guitar makes up for the finish flaws in the fit, feel, and tone department. It has 10's on it in standard tuning, and plays wonderfully fast with lots of responsiveness. The pickups help with that for sure as they are the top of the line from Yamaha at the time Spinex pickups. Named that for the material (Spinex) that they are made from. They sound like vintage les Paul pickups with a slightly different flavor making them their own thing. A unique voice. Finish: There is finish loss on the back of the neck Big chip on top of the headstock Dings and little scratches through out Big scratch on back by electronics cavity Aside from that normal wear on the hardware from the years. I've taken photos of all of these things. The electronics are new. It came to me with EMG's. The pickups were included but not the wiring harness. It has been wired with coil splitters just like it would be from the factory. Very clean work and everything functions perfectly. Last thing, it only came with three of the four gold pot washer indicators. Those are in the case. They look like little pointers that come out from under the volume and tone knobs.
