This guitar has been 'my baby'! I still love it and I hate to sell it but I have not been able to work due to an injury, can't play the guitar either and I have plenty others. I also have a mortgage and other important bills to pay and I need money. Here's a chance to get a real sweet guitar for fairly reasonable. I think these were made in 1994 or 1995? Revision here! I found an interesting link that puts this series as being made between 1992 and 1997, so yes that age is roughly correct and if you're looking for an 'early' version '84-'85 that is incorrect and NOT possible... here's the link if eBay will let it stay here.http://planetbotch.blogspot.com/2012/10/original-1992-fender-mij-jd-telcaster.html
It's pretty banged up, a lot of that was pre-me. The way I feel about it is, if you don't want it or want to nit-pick, don't buy it. These have a nice fat V neck, it also has new, quality tuners as the original ones were worn and one was bent. It has various dings, dents, scratches and some light areas in the tint, but it's smooth, light and natural to play. Electro socket, almost nothing has been left untouched! Lol! She weighs only 6lbs 10oz. The pickups are custom wound, neck pickup started as a fender custom shop, bridge a seymore duncan but they were both dead so they've been stripped and rewound, hot and to match! Both alnico, both quality, both with 'patina'. As a side note, that bridge pickup was given to me by Bill Kirchen!  It has a four way switch (standard 'by the directions' wiring, which is position #1 bridge only, #2 bridge and neck parallel, #3 neck only, #4 bridge and neck in series)  it spanks, twangs, sweet and smooth or skanky and dirty, position 4 is like a humbucker kinda. Reversed control plate let's you swell the volume and the tone is an easy reach too. Nice Fender knobs and neck plate. The frets have been replaced with the fender vintage size that came in it. Bone nut, it has steel compensated saddles for the AE and GD strings, brass (smoother) for the BE. It has the 'Gatton cut' on the Fender Japan (original) bridge plate. This guitar is badass!  BADASS!  It's got a fresh set of NYXL 10's on it too!  It's set-up to perfection for me but there's different strokes for different folks, no buzzing frets, no loose frets, no issues whatever. Returns accepted but buyer is responsible for the shipping cost both ways and don't even think about swapping out parts because you'd better believe that I know what's here. Please ask questions and feel free to communicate. Like I said, I don't want to sell it, I have to. Make an offer, whatever... I can sell it to a local dealer so it isn't going to be here forever. And oh yeah, the bag will be a generic of some type but heavy and functional. It will ship in that and a cardboard box.
