This beauty was made by Vega in 1925 . It plays beautifully off an 11/16 inch bridge with a low easy action and that wonderful Vega sound . The scale length is nearly 28 inches and it has 20 frets thus getting the bridge position well back on the 11+13/16 large head . This helps provide the tone and cut .The Oettinger tailpiece is very old and it doesn't look like an original Vega , the clamp on the perch pole looks like a replacement and the tuners are modern . There is a little scratching on the back of the resonator but the rest of the woodwork looks like new as does the metalware .Free postage in UK .One of Vega's top models as seen in the inlays on the inside of the hoop and the beautiful engraved position markers , a superb instrument .I will provide a hard shell case as there is no original .
