Replaced parts: All parts seems to be original, except selector switch knob. The knob was missing and I took one from another BST-64V. Regarding pickguard, I think this is original, please see my comment. Damages: It has dents, scratches, paint coming off, rust, tarnishing and plating coming off on some metal parts, and burnt at the head stock.
However, basically excellent condition.
My comment Bacchus still produce guitars but they stopped this headstock shape, so the price is still raising in the used guitar market. I think Bacchus BST is a good choice in late 90s to early 2000 products if you look for a MIJ stratocaster. I have never seen yellow BST-64V, must be limited production, I suppose this colour was from one Jeff Beck used in Karuizawa live in 1986, this was broadcasted on TV in Japan and the guitar was impressive (Jeff’s original was a 62 AVRI). All seems to be a usual BST-64V except the colour which is not featured on their brochure at that time. First I doubted the pickguard might have been replaced, but finally I believe this is original. As much as I know the pickguard of BST-64V has cutting at truss rod screw and the backside is fully covered by aluminum sticker, and bit earlier serial # BST-64V I have dealt in the past has also such cutting. However I have found there is no cutting one on their 1998 brochure, so I believe they used both type in these days (I believe they used without cutting pickguards first then changed to with cutting ones, but mixed in some time. Anyway, the material, shade, the locations of the screw holes of the pickguard are the completely the same as another BST-64V at my hand now.
