1977 USA Fender Stratocaster hardtail in hard case With 1970’s re-issue Stratocasters fetching high money, an original 1977 vintage Fender Strat is beginning to look like the wise investment. It will hold its value well. This hard tail version has the large headstock and 3-bolt neck. It’s in great condition. It’s got a few feint scratches here and there from general use. Overall, it’s lovely. The action is excellent and everything works as it should. The neck is superb. It’s super-fast and smooth. The Rosewood fingerboard is in very good condition. The frets are good too with plenty of life left in them. The body may have been refinished at some point. I say “may” because there’s evidence of buckle rash but the wood doesn’t show through. If it has been re-finished, it was quite a while ago. Having taken the scratch plate off, there’s evidence that someone has re-engineered the cavities. Presumably they wanted a HSH arrangement. Anyway, it’s back how it should be with what appears to be the original coils. The Volume pot and the 5-Way switch have been replaced. I’m offering this 1977 Fender Stratocaster at a very reasonable price. Many are priced much higher. I will even consider a Part Exchange. It sounds exactly as you’d expect it to. Fantastic! The solid body is fairly heavy and resonates well. It has the 3-bolt neck plate with the micro-tilt adjustment. According to Guitar Dater Project, this guitar was made in the USA, at the Fullerton Plant. I have more images. Please ask if you need them. Some say these 1970’s Fender Stratocasters represent the best value for money. They are from a vintage where the quality was good and they had some design features all of their own.
