Gibson Les Paul Custom M2M Neben der Les Paul Standard ist die Custom wohl die bekannteste Gibson aus der Les Paul-Serie. Während die frühen Customs noch einen Korpus aus Mahagoni ohne Ahorndecke hatten, ist die aktuelle Version nun auch mit der für die Les Paul Standard typischen Ahorndecke ausgestattet, was einen knackigeren (auch moderneren) Sound zur Folge hat. Dieser wird durch die Tonabnehmerwahl (am Hals der relativ cleane 490), am Steg der powervolle 498 bestens übertragen .
