2014 Gibson Historic Reissue 1959 - R9 VOS with OHSC Weighting at 8.4lbs somewhat it feels so much lighter due to it perfectly balanced. The tone on this guitar is simply phenomenal! You know you'll want this one as it's in 9.9/10 shape! Why settle for used guitars found in music stores where they get abused by many! Must sell fast- make a reasonable offer and we'll see! Selling a new-condition genuine 2014 Gibson Historic Reissue 1959 Custom Shop. (This one was manufactured on August 2015 as part of the final standard historic phase) The flame on this one is AAAA similar to the rare "shadow of '59" with wide curls and deep flames. Very 3D from all angles and looks like the caspian tiger curly flame. This is a new-old-stock from Gibson which includes registration with Gibson. It's a VOS meaning it comes slightly "aged" by Gibson for a vintage look. Might be able to lower a few $ for the right buyer Will ship with UPS with insurance The 2014 specifications models are the most sought after reissues as they are built with accurate Historic 1959 specs with vintage hide glue at the neck AND also the fretboard and the choicest of quality woods *The neck is deep set long tenon, meaning it's the original way of of having a longer tenon deep in the guitar for ultimate tone and resonance. *One piece solid mahogany body with accurately historic aniline dye. *Perfect C-shaped neck with small shoulders *Great Washed Cherry burst color but more dark/intense than the usual with a deep vintage looking flame. *One-piece rich Dark Rosewood fretboard. Guitar is always stored in the case and plays beautifully. Sounds airy when played clean, and has a deep thunderous growl with full volume. The Custom Buckers and Bumblebee capacitors sound phenomenal! Neck pickup sound buttery smooth and the bridge pickup can really scream. Anything prior to 2014 is not on par quality or spec-wise: see for yourself the info with Gibson and the web. Original serial number - they don't do them like this anymore as now they add an "R" to all their serial numbers. The serial number on this one is 9 43xx9 part of the later releases that had a more refined neck closer to the 59 and as this one has a monster flame like other later serials. Beautifully set-up with great action Nothing has been modified in this guitar, no repairs were ever needed- everything is in MINT condition as shipped by Gibson Has a slight cosmetic flaw- one of the side dots is slightly indented - simply cosmetic nothing more- could be retouched for $60 at a Luthier (see pic) This is a reasonably fair price for a genuine Gibson LP 1959 Historic Reissue in excellent shape (we should be calling it brand new) I'm selling this fantastic guitar because this past summer I went on a purchase binge....but now I realize I need the funds for a necessity : ( Everything a Custom Shop should be!
