The guitar's tone is further enhanced by a pair of Burstbucker Pro humbucking pickups, which employ Alnico V magnets for a little extra sting and punch, and feature wax-potted coils to combat potential squeal and microphony. The SG Carved Top also includes the SG's standard 24-3/4" scale length mahogany neck with two extra frets, a rosewood fingerboard with figured acrylic trapezoid inlays, Grover kidney-shaped tuners, and Gibson's traditional Tune-o-matic bridge and stopbar tailpiece.
