Vintage 67' Fender Stratocaster Left Hand

This guitar was meticulously reconditioned after having been butchered for a locking tremelo of some kind and having the original neck broken beyond repair. The body was stripped and the routed larger bridge hole repaired with the same type of alder as in the body and grain aligned to aid in getting it back to as close to original as possible. This was done by Buscarino guitars in Tampa Fl who is known for his custom luthiery and arch top guitars so the work was stellar. The body was refinished in the same stock black finish of the period with a light nitrocellulose clear coat over it and you can see the gentle cracking in a few spots.The neck was a recreation made by Mighty Mite per the original damged necks specs which was a uber rare maple cap neck but since they didn't offer a maple cap option a custom solid maple neck was made minus the skunk/teardrop plug on the front of the headstock so as to replecate the look of the original.It is a beautiful piece of hard birdseye maple with vintage nitrocelulose clear coat and has 6105 frets that have been plek'd by Joe Glaser so it plays absolutely wonderful with very low action. The tuners are the original Klusons and the decal is an orignal just like the one that came on the damaged neck. The neck plate dates from 69' (275110) and was a replacement but the bridge plate,saddles, knobs,vibrato bar,strap buttons, and tuners were original to 67'. The vibrato block was replaced due to the original bar hole being stripped and the pickups are Seymour Duncan Antiquities in the neck and middle with a Duncan vintage stack in the treble position.The case is original and in good condition with normal wear for it's age.
