Incredible guitar in every way. This one has a lot going for it. Killer top, great finish, Murphy-aged, 40th Anniversary, Yamano, w/ OHSC and 2 COA's. Very interesting looking at the exotic fretboard. Looks like Brazilian but of course I can't confirm this with Gibson. They also won't confirm Murphy-painted. Only the Murphy-aged is what they'll confirm. The Yamano connection makes it all possible as Yamano was unhappy that they were left out on these early on and Gibson and Tom Murphy made a trip to Japan to smooth things over and offered them some "special" models. So much confusion with these guitars... Anyway, take it for what it is. A great 40th Anniversary Murphy-Aged 1959 Les Paul with a Killer top!
