1996 Fender USA Strat DELUXE PLUS guitar - Barely played - Includes case + candy

I've owned this guitar from new but it's hardly been played so, along with a couple of other guitars, I've decided to sell it on. (see my other items!)It's a USA made Stratocaster Deluxe Plus from 1996. These Plus models were Fender's top of the range production guitars from that period. They include the following upgrades from the standard USA Strats: Lace sensors, LSR Roller Nut, Schaller locking tuners, TBX tone control and a Hipshot Tremsetter. This guitar has a maple neck with satin finish. The body is a beautiful 2 colour transparent burst. The guitar is completely original with its pearloid pickguard. There are very few signs of use on the guitar. The overall condition is excellent - near mint. There's a 3mm mark on the back of the body and some of the satin gloss coat has a small chip on the headstock. The frets have zero wear and neck is mint. The TBX tone control is what really makes this guitar stand out. It gives you way more sonic options than a standard Strat. TBX is a passive circuit that can cut treble or bass giving the bridge and middle pickup a unique variety of sounds. Putting the 5-way switch in the 4th position and turning the tone control you can get a bell like sound to a honking out-of-phase mid-range sound. Put the switch in position 2 and get a nice quack. The 1st tone control and the volume control is a standard Fender 250k potentiometer. This guitar like many of the Strat Plus Series, came with a Hipshot Tremsetter which compensates for the string tension. Once set up it helps the guitar stay in tune even if a string breaks while playing!
