The Fender Classic Series '50s Stratocaster Lacquer Candy Apple Red is the epitome of a classic Strat. Presented in a tweed hard case you would be forgiven for thinking that this nitrocellulose finished instrument had come straight out of the Fender Custom Shop. Fender Classic Series '50s Stratocaster Lacquer, Maple Fingerboard, Candy Apple Red The 1950s was when Fender unleashed the Stratocaster on the world. A revolutionary electric guitar which is still the most popular guitar today. It's an amazing achievement. The Fender Classic Series 50s Stratocaster Lacquer Candy Apple Red is an authentic reproduction of the Strat from that era built with modern production methods and superb finishing. What makes this guitar really stand out is the classic nitrocellulose lacquer finish. Nitro lacquer is a softer finish that ages gracefully and has a more organic feel and appearance. Finished in Candy Apple Red with a rich tinted Maple neck, this is what most people visualise when you say the words "Fender Stratocaster"! The Maple fingerboard features a 7.25"-radius with 21 vintage-style frets. The neck has a soft V shape which is a bit beefier than a modern Standard Strat but still feels incredibly comfortable and it much more in keeping of a Strat from this era.
