Fender Custom Shop Time Machine Series '69 Stratocaster NOS Electric Guitar. Made in 2005. Overall this is a wonderful guitar. It has its share of bumps and bangs and I've tried my best to show them in the photos. Nothing outrageous, it's an 11 year old guitar that was owned by a practicing musician before I was lucky enough to buy it. One important note is the neck was professionally sanded - that includes the back of the neck and the fretboard. This was done when he re-fretted it because he had worn a lot of the finish off. The only finish left is on the head stock to preserve the Fender and custom shop logos. There is also some wear to the pick guard by the truss rod adjustment screw. So, if you are looking for mint and unplayed, this isn't for you. However, if you are looking for something different and wanting that great '60s sound and look, then it is definitely for you. I can't honestly say whether or not the unfinished neck changes the tonality of this guitar, but it shines nonetheless. It's nothing without the real deal Abigail Ybarra pickups which are original and untouched and sets this apart from many Custom Shop models. The Original deluxe case shows equal signs of use. Some of the case candy is included... the certificate of authenticity, the 3 way switch (the 5 way is installed), the bridge cover, whammy bar, some of the tags and such. I wasn't sure where to go with the pricing of this. I can't find any listings for an entire guitar. Lots of parts, that sell for very impressive money. My Buy It Now price may appear high or may be in reason. I just couldn't conjure up a number that I was satisfied with. If doesn't sell, I will not be disappointed to keep it. In any case I have opened up the best offer feature as well. This is an early model. Think they started this line in 2003. I've owned a few guitars in my time and of all of them I just consider this a solid, honest guitar. Best way to sum it up. Please feel free to ask questions. Shipping is estimated.
