2014 Fender Japan Aerodyne Stratocaster & New Hard Case£649.00 JAPANESE IMPORTStunning gunmetal blue metallic finish, unavailable in the UK. Matched headstock & bound body. Here at Whitstable Guitars, I have an arrangement with a major Japanese supplier & I regularly import batches of used but excellent condition guitars from Japan. I do this because the quality of the guitars is excellent & the guitars supplied for their domestic market are often in different finishes & specifications than are available in Europe. The Aerodyne Stratocaster has been around for a few years. The early Japanese models had a shorter scale length which was 24.75" (same as a Gibson) but later models (like this one) Have a full sized stratocaster scale length of 25.5" The bound body & the colour matched headstock are other features particular to this model. Aerodyne Stratocasters are sometimes available in the UK but generally only in black. I seem to be the only person importing these coloured Aerodynes in the UK at the moment. Hefty shipping & import charges mean that I can't do this as much as I would like but it is still really nice to feature some guitars on my site that you don't see as often in the UK As stated many times, due to courier damage, all my guitars are shipped in hard cases (usually new) this one being a plain black one. I do have a tweed option but these are a little dearer. If you prefer that, please email me for details. This Aerodyne has just some light playing marks & that's about it. It is 1-2 years old. No fretwear, no modifications, no significant scratches, dents that I can find anywhere. Sometimes the guitars I import have just been used as "demo" models. I wouldn't be surprised if that were the case with this one. It is just like a new guitar. I took this to try and highlight the white binding which looks stunning in real life. Vintage style bridge has "Fender" stamped saddles Here's a look at the back of the guitar. As you've probably already noticed, the metallic blue looks different in different lights & from different angles. Blue isn't the easiest colour to photograph digitally & this guitar actually looks even better in the flesh ! Any marks you see are just reflections "Made in Japan" always reassuring. This is dated to 2014. Fantastic condition with just some light playing marks. Note the satin finish on the neck. The tuners are chrome button, vintage Kluson style. They are excellent. The back of the headstock and the neck have a satin finish So, to sum up. A lovely and hard to find guitar with a £40 hard case included. I have seen a couple of black ones online and they retail around £750 but this would be without a hard case.
