Here we have a gorgeous 1959 Gibson Byrdland, serial "A31218".  Inside the right F-hole is the number "S8338 3" confirming the 1959 date.  The guitar is in very nice, all original shape including the original gold plated PAF pickups.  The guitar is a blast to play and has an awesome maple neck.  The body of the guitar has an old center seam crack that runs from just under the tailpiece to just below the bridge.  It is secure and no terribly noticeable.  The rest of the body is in good shape with only some minor playwear.  The guitar is a blast to play, the frets and fretboard are both clean with light wear.  The pickup covers have lost a decent amount of plating and there is some very light green corrosion on some of the lower frets and bridge saddles, otherwise the hardware is all in good shape.  The electronics are all working as they should and the guitar produces a wonderful sound. The width at the nut is 1 5/8" inches.  The guitar comes with the original Lifton hardcase that is in very good condition.
