Vintage 1960s Goya Polytone Quadrant Control Rangemaster Rare Hybrid Guitar Needs Pick Up Original Clamshell Case Warranty Card Up for sale we have a Goya Polytone Guitar. This is indeed a rare guitar. I've put some info at the bottom explaining the history if your curious. This particular model is missing its bridge pick up and will need another and some re-wiring. I don't know what happen here i bought it as - is. Excellent design and original looking. They are well made electric guitars as well. Solid woods very much like a Fender or Gibson quality. Sounds thick and creamy! Everything is stock to the guitar and it plays works wonderfully. Guitar is very clean for its age. Been in storage for decades! All relatively light wear and tear. The frets are in excellent condition and everything works. Overall this guitar is in great shape. The guitar has minor superficial dings, scratches, wear and tear around various parts of the guitar. Typical of a guitar of this age. As with any guitar that’s been sitting in storage it going to need new strings and set up. Please consider this when bidding on my items. Its vintage folks and anything this old could need a minor tune upSOUNDSThe sounds that you can with the Goya Guitars Rangemaster Quadrant Control are pretty varied as there are a slew of parameters that make it possible to get all sorts of different sounds. Of course it sounds like a hollow body and that type of sound will be present no matter where you turn the parameters as this is the nature of the guitar, but I assume that if you are getting a hollow body guitar you understand this will be the case. I usually use the guitar with either a '76 Fender Twin Reverb or a '65 Fender Deluxe Reverb and it always sounds great with either of these amps. I don't normally use any effects expect for some reverb on the amps as I find that this guitar sounds best clean and most of the guitar tones I am looking for are clean sounds. I've only used this guitar for recording, but it will sound good in any situation.
