This is the Fernandes’s version of Randy’s Jackson ‘sharkfin inlays’ offset V. The fernandes JS-100 ,made in 87 to randy's exact specifics executives from fernandes visited Delores randy's mother
at that time .at that meeting the Rhoads family allowed Fernades to examine Randy's guitar
for this prototype
Jackson soon came out (1988) with exactly the same model and look
Very few of these set-neck guitars Fernandes JS-100 have surfaced in the color Lipstick Red over the decades.
Unlike other concorde guitars this Fernandes JS-100 was a very accurate version of the now famous Rhoads Concorde. Some say the Fernandes RR is as-good-or-better-than the Jackson RR.
But that guitar has become a heavy metal icon and is the cornerstone of the Jackson Guitar company.I had the name changed in 1988 in a custom shop to write Jackson on my Fernandes offered here but this is the Fernandes JS-100 let there not be doubt its says now Jackson but it is the Fernandes JS-100
Fernandes using rosewood instead of ebony for the fretboard, they were near identical.
The Fernandes version is beautiful maple /Ash woods, solid guitar neck thru deep in the body which gives exceptional sustain and the value for money with this on is crazy compared to the current Jackson RR5 V’s
There is a serial number in the pickup cavity with the first digit being a "7" making this a 1987 vintage instrument.
