The Alder body has a contour on the back and is finished in gloss Black with a thinner undercoat to improve resonance. The 3-Ply Parchment pickguard over the gloss black body with Rosewood board make this a very attractive guitar that begs you to pick it up. Custom Shop Pickups, Brass Bridge Plate with Improved Bent Steel Saddles The Fender American Standard Telecaster Black with Rosewood Fingerboard is loaded with pickups straight out the Custom Shop. A Custom Shop Vintage-Style Tele is used in the bridge position to give you that classic crisp bright Tele twang. The Fender Custom Shop Twisted Tele neck pickup has formvar-coated magnet wire which adds brightness and glassiness. Strings are strung through the body over the 5-screw mounted brass bridge plate for sonic stability. Improved bent steel saddles with elongated string slots offer increased resonance and sustain.This Fender American Standard Telecaster in Black is the latest incarnation of a truly timeless classic.
