Custom Classic Zion Guitar in Mint condition For those who don?t know about Zion guitars here is our honest opinion ? some of the best made electric guitars on the planet! Seriously these things are so precise and so well built they sometimes make those other US boutique ?S? & ?T? brands look like they were knocked up in someone?s shed. Very rare outside of the USA (quite rare inside it!) as they have a very small shop where quality is the driving factor, fantastic people who have an overwhelming passion for what they do. Here we have a Mahogany bodied Classic model with a light cherry burst quilted maple cap. The bolt on maple neck has a wonderful ebony finger board but just look at the custom headstock inlay on this piece! It?s outstanding! Wilkinson VS100 trem with Sperzel locking tuners and then the interesting bit. This guitar has a custom wiring loom using DiMarzio pickups. The bridge is an Air Norton and the neck and middle are noiseless, humcancelling models from the ?virtual? range. These pickups are stacked singles and this guitar has them wired so that the ?in between? sounds actually split the coils in the stacked singles. This gives you really ?Stratty? tones but still keeps the hum at zero. Sounds simple but it wasn?t we are reliably informed. The detail is what strikes you about this piece ? e.g. the ebony veneer between the mahogany back and the maple cap just looks fantastic and the recessed Neutrik locking input jack that sits slightly inside of the guitar thus not spoiling its elegant outline. As with all Zions the workmanship is flawless and it sounds great. Mahogany giving an almost LP grunt on the bridge pickup with sparkly/wiry/spangly tones from the singles. Great all round guitar that just oozes class. Elegantly understated, virtually unplayed with a list price of over £3k. Grab a bargain in my clear out.
