Ovation Viper! Description You're looking at a vintage Ovation Viper in beautiful condition in Sunburst finish with its original hard shell case. With an E + 5 digit serial number, according to Internet research it should be a 1975-1980 instrument. For a 36 to 40-year-old instrument, it's very clean. Must have been played very little or just handled with great care. No significant dings or scratches. I've take pics of some very minor, tiny marks, and there is on faint scratch on the back, but overall stunning shape for its age. These Vipers are very rare and will be hard to find many in this shape. Two great sounding humbuckers with 3-way pickup selector mini-switch. Cool looking large Volume and Tone knobs. Unique body shape with single cutaway and rear body contour. Awesome feeling 24-fret, 2-octave neck with excellent fret life. Distinctive Ovation headstock style with unique chrome/black Ovation tuners. Basically, it's not like any other electric guitar you'll see. Comfortable 8 pounds, 9 ounces. Set up great.
