Yamaha SG1802The blues and Rock MonsterThis is one of the new breed of Yamaha SG’s and despite them looking very similar to the older SG’s they are in fact significantly different guitars . They feel different being a little lighter and also sound different . In common with the older discontinued series the quality and attention to detail is just superb .This Youtube demo is in Italian but demonstrates the 1802’s abilities well and worth a listen .https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HzJJOJ_-eUIFollowing the classic Yamaha SG pattern, the new SG’s have some radical updates creating a guitar more in-tune with modern requirements. Most obvious are simpler cosmetics and the inclusion of 'custom shop' appointments: Seymour Duncan pickups, Tone Pros bridge/tailpiece, Graph Tech Tusq nuts, CTS pots, Switchcraft toggle switches and locking Grover tuners.Importantly, each model is quite specifically aimed at a type of player and Yamaha is unofficially referring to the 1802 as the SG Vintage due to the high output single coil vintage sound range . Nothing better for Blues or Rock but to be honest it is brilliant in all genres .This one is in great shape. There is some light buckle worming marks on the back but nothing through the finish ( only really notice if held in a cross light ) – During taking the pics I also discovered a tiny touched in corner headstock dink but again it’s minute and looks tons worse in the close up. Other than that she is in at least 9/10 condition. No fret wear no issues and the plastic protection is still on the pic guard. The fly on the back comes free - I missed it -They don’t come up very often and are only made in limited quantities and those that buy them tend to keep them so this is an opportunity to grab one at somewhat less than the hefty £2450 price tag of buying new ( If you can find one in stock ) . Bit of a bargain I would say .Comes in a brilliant hardcase with some of the original paperwork etc.Shipping includes insurance and good packaging - Oversea's PLEASE ASK for accurate shipping rates to your country as the options offered by E Bay are pretty hopeless.Happy to discuss the guitar or options if you ask for my phone details.
